ProTakip's team has built software for carpet-cleaning businesses for 22 years. Before smartphones existed, we put our software on bank POS terminals so crews could take an order and print a receipt for the customer at the door. Today the same team ships one full app for Android, iPhone and the web, used by carpet, rug and upholstery cleaners, dry cleaners and home and office cleaning companies that run their business from the phone. ProTakip is carpet cleaning software and cleaning business software: order, customer and payment tracking for carpet, rug and upholstery cleaning businesses, also used by dry cleaners and home and office cleaning teams.
This Swept vs ProTakip comparison is for owners of small cleaning teams. Swept is a US janitorial platform for commercial cleaning companies that send staff to client buildings on recurring contracts, priced by the number of locations you manage, monthly or annually.
The decisive difference: Swept is a time clock and site-management tool whose bill rises with every location you win, while ProTakip runs the whole customer order, from the first call to delivery and payment, on one flat fee of $20 a month with unlimited users and no contract. One point up front: ProTakip has no employee time clock or payroll; its job is the customer order, not the timesheet.

Swept vs ProTakip at a glance
For a small carpet-cleaning team, ProTakip is the better buy: one flat fee of $20 a month for unlimited users, the same full app on Android, iPhone and web, and a pickup-to-delivery workflow built for rugs. The table shows where Swept differs, with every figure dated September 2026.

What Swept offers
Swept is designed for companies that send cleaners to many client buildings, often at night, and need to know they arrived, what they did and what supplies they need. According to Swept's website (September 2026), all plans include scheduling, time tracking and payroll reporting with export; the middle plan adds geofence-based timekeeping, location-based messaging and inspections; the top plan adds travel-time tracking, checklists, profitability reporting, supply requests, a client portal and one-time work orders.
Cleaners who use it describe a routine of checking the schedule, clocking in and out, getting shift-change notifications, checking the time card and ordering supplies. According to its website, Swept also offers a Spanish mobile app and support for more than 100 languages.
What Swept really costs in 2026
Prices as published in September 2026: Swept lists three plans, Launch from $30 per month, Optimize from $150 per month and Scale from $225 per month, banded by the number of client locations you manage rather than by user. The entry band covers up to 15 locations, with further bands for 16–25, 26–30, 31–50 and 60+ locations. Paying annually saves 20% according to the vendor. Here is what leaves your bank account at the entry band:
- Launch: $360 a year on monthly billing, or $288 paid up front for the year.
- Optimize: $1,800 a year on monthly billing, or $1,440 paid up front. This is the first plan with geofenced clock-in and inspections, the features most janitorial companies buy Swept for.
- Scale: $2,700 a year on monthly billing, or $2,160 paid up front. Supply requests and the client portal sit here.
These are "from" prices. Each time you win enough contracts to cross into the next location band, the bill moves up; the higher band prices are not listed on the pricing page, so you find out when you get there. There is no free plan, and the length of the reported trial is not verified.
A worked example: an owner with four field staff who wants geofenced clock-in and inspections needs Optimize, so the team pays $1,800 a year on monthly billing, or $1,440 committed up front, before it grows past 15 locations. And if your work is carpets, rugs and sofas collected from households rather than buildings, much of what you are paying for is a time clock you do not need.
On contracts, one Google Play reviewer reports a 30-day written cancellation notice requirement, which is worth checking in the terms before you commit, especially on annual billing.
ProTakip works differently. You pay one flat monthly fee for every feature, with unlimited users: the owner, four helpers, a seasonal driver and the office all use it at no extra cost. There is no annual contract, no setup fee and no location band, you can cancel any month, and the first three months cost nothing. Current pricing is on the ProTakip download page.
ProTakip is $20 a month — $240 a year — for unlimited users and every feature, with no contract. Start your free three months from the ProTakip download page, no card needed.

What Swept users complain about: speed, backgrounding and cancellation
Swept reviews are mixed: 3.8 on Google Play from 450 reviews and 2.74 on the App Store from 35 ratings (September 2026). In our sample of 155 recent Google Play reviews, 60 were one-star and 36 five-star. The most common themes were crashes and bugs, missing features and slowness, and most complaints come from cleaners required to use the app — the people whose minutes you pay for.
The biggest recurring issue reviewers describe is that the app does not behave well when it is not on screen:
"It cannot be backgrounded, and if you need to switch apps or sleep your phone… you need to close the app completely." — Google Play review
Others report slow clock-ins and geofence problems. One reviewer who clocks in at three or four sites a night says the app "literally takes MINUTES to do anything" and costs them five or more minutes each night. Another says they have had to restart the phone repeatedly to clock in and out of one location.
"You have to give them 30 days notice to cancel… they still charged me $80 even though we no longer use the app." — Google Play review
Feature requests in the reviews include multi-photo upload for client reports, a place for PTO requests, clearer time sheets showing actual in and out times, and an in-app tutorial.
Why carpet cleaners choose ProTakip
22 years of carpet cleaning, not a general tool with a carpet page. ProTakip starts from the job as carpet and rug cleaners actually run it: a customer order that moves through received, in wash, ready, out for delivery and delivered. Pickup and delivery lists and an "all operations" board show your whole day. Prices can be per square metre or per item, with price lists, extra services, quotes, recurring jobs and an appointments calendar. It is built for carpet and rug cleaning companies and fits home cleaning businesses that take items away and bring them back.
The same full app on Android, iPhone and the web. One codebase, released on the same day, so the owner on an iPhone and the driver on a budget Android phone see the same screens.
Know who is calling on Android before you answer. Caller ID on Android shows the customer's name, address, balance and open orders before the phone rings through, even with the app closed and no signal. In the office, the same card appears on the computer through a switchboard integration or a USB caller-ID device. (There is no caller card on iPhone.)
Customers stop calling to ask where their rug is. Automatic SMS and WhatsApp messages go out at every order stage, including to international customers, with a tracking link. A WhatsApp Business inbox, bulk SMS and satisfaction surveys sit in the same app.
- At the door: photos at pickup record each item's condition and end damage disputes; QR-coded labels ("3 / 7") and receipts print on a Bluetooth thermal printer from the phone.
- On the road: automatic delivery route optimisation with navigation, and vehicle GPS tracking for your vans. New orders can be saved without signal and sync when the connection returns.
- In the office: cash register, receivables, daily to monthly reports, staff performance reports, team roles and staff invitation codes.
Fair terms and people who answer. Unlimited users on one flat fee, no annual contract, and your data is yours. Our team migrates your customers and order history for free, and live human support answers inside the app. Store ratings as of September 2026 are 5.0 on Google Play (37 reviews) and 4.98 on the App Store (46 ratings); every written review is five stars and we reply to about 96% of Play reviews.

Head-to-head: the five differences that decide it
ProTakip comes out ahead on each of the five points below for a small carpet-cleaning business; each one ends with what it means for your crew.
Swept charges by location; ProTakip charges one flat fee
Swept's bill is tied to how many client locations you manage, and the key janitorial features sit on the $150 and $225 plans, so the software cost rises as the business grows. ProTakip charges one flat subscription with unlimited users and every feature included, so adding a driver, a seasonal helper or a second van does not change the price. For a small team whose work is orders rather than buildings, that means a cost you can plan around.
Timekeeping is Swept's core, and ProTakip does not offer it
Swept clocks staff in and out of client sites with geofencing, time cards and payroll export; ProTakip has no time clock or payroll, because a small carpet crew's day is measured in orders delivered, not hours clocked. For a small, fixed carpet or upholstery crew, the daily headache is customer orders, not timesheets — and that is what ProTakip is built to run.
Reviewers report a slow Swept app; ProTakip ships identical apps
Swept's store ratings (3.8 on Android, 2.74 on iOS) and its reviews point to slow clock-ins, geofence trouble and an app reviewers say cannot run in the background. ProTakip ships the same version on Android, iPhone and web on the same day, holds 5.0 and 4.98 ratings, keeps Caller ID working offline on Android and lets new orders be saved without signal.
Swept messages your staff; ProTakip keeps your customers informed
Swept's messaging is aimed mainly at staff and commercial clients: location-based messages, group chat and a client portal on the top plan. ProTakip's communication faces the household customer: automatic SMS and WhatsApp updates at every stage, a tracking link, a WhatsApp inbox, bulk SMS and surveys, plus Caller ID so you greet regulars by name. For homeowners waiting on a rug, that means fewer calls and more repeat orders.
Industry fit and commitment point in different directions
Swept is janitorial software: inspections, supply requests and checklists per site. ProTakip is built for order-based cleaning: pickup, wash, ready and delivery, with square-metre pricing, labels and receipts. On commitment, reviewers report Swept's 30-day cancellation notice; ProTakip has no annual contract, no setup fee and three free months, so trying it costs you nothing.
Why ProTakip is the best Swept alternative for a small carpet-cleaning business
ProTakip is carpet cleaning software and cleaning business software for one-to-fifteen-person teams; this is why it is the best Swept alternative for that business.
Choose ProTakip if your business moves items or jobs through a pipeline: carpet and rug cleaning, upholstery, dry cleaning, or home and office cleaning where customers, orders, notifications and deliveries matter more than staff timesheets. We give you one full app on every platform, Caller ID on Android and the office switchboard, SMS and WhatsApp updates at every stage, photos, QR labels and Bluetooth receipts, route optimisation and vehicle GPS, all for one flat price with unlimited users and no contract.
We also make the move easy: our team migrates your data, live people answer your questions inside the app, and three free months let you prove it on real orders before you pay anything. If you are comparing residential cleaning tools, our ZenMaid vs ProTakip and MaidCentral vs ProTakip comparisons cover maid-service software, and our guide to choosing cleaning software walks through the questions to ask any vendor. You can also see all comparisons.
A note from the founder. We built ProTakip for carpet-cleaning owners tired of paying for every new hire and fighting menus made for other trades. No sales pitch: use it free for three months with your whole team, no card needed. If it works for you, it is $20 a month. If it doesn't, you leave, and your data is yours.
Start free for three months, no card required: download ProTakip and run your next week of orders on it — the same full app on Android, iPhone and web, unlimited users, no contract.
Switching from Swept to ProTakip is handled by our team
If you are looking for a Swept alternative because your work is order-based rather than site-based, moving is low-risk. We import your customer list and any order and job history you can export. Run both systems side by side for two weeks, check that everything came across, then cancel the old one — allowing for the 30-day notice reviewers report when you plan Swept's end date. The first three months are free with no credit card. Our switching and data migration guide lists what to export and check, and the route planning guide shows how to set up pickups and deliveries from day one. You can see Swept's own plans on its official website.

According to Swept's website (September 2026), plans start at $30, $150 and $225 per month (Launch, Optimize, Scale), priced by the number of locations you manage, with 20% off for annual billing. In cash that is from $360, $1,800 and $2,700 a year on monthly billing, and the bill moves up as you add locations. Is Swept or ProTakip better for carpet and rug cleaning?
ProTakip, especially for small teams. First, it has been built for carpet and rug cleaning for 22 years: every order moves from pickup to wash to ready to delivery, priced per square metre or per item, with QR labels and Bluetooth receipts printed at the door. Second, customers are kept informed automatically by SMS and WhatsApp at every stage, and Caller ID on Android shows who is calling before you answer. Swept is built for janitorial contracts, where staff clock in at client buildings and supervisors run inspections.
Does ProTakip have an employee time clock like Swept?
ProTakip does not offer an employee time clock, GPS or geofenced clock-in, or payroll. It offers team roles and permissions, staff performance reports and vehicle GPS tracking, which shows where your vans are rather than logging hours. ProTakip's job is the customer order rather than the timesheet: it covers the whole job from call to payment, for the whole team on one flat fee. If your business needs it, tell us in the in-app chat: ProTakip is built around what its customers ask for, and the first three months are free while you find out.
What do Swept reviews say about cancelling?
One Google Play reviewer reports that Swept requires 30 days' notice to cancel and says they were charged $80 after giving ten days' notice. Read the terms before you sign up. ProTakip has no annual contract and no setup fee, you can cancel any month, and the first three months are free with no credit card needed to start.
Can I move my data from Swept to ProTakip?
Yes. The ProTakip team handles data migration for you at no charge, including customer lists and order history where your export contains them. Because the first three months are free, you can run both systems side by side, check that everything came across correctly, and only then stop using the old one.
