ProTakip's team has been building software for carpet-cleaning businesses for 22 years. Before smartphones existed, we put carpet-cleaning software on bank POS terminals so crews could take an order and print a receipt at the customer's door. Today the same team ships one app that runs identically on Android, iPhone and the web, used by carpet, rug and upholstery cleaners in Türkiye and internationally. ProTakip is carpet cleaning software and cleaning business software: order, customer and payment tracking for carpet, rug and upholstery cleaning businesses, also used by dry cleaners and home and office cleaning teams.
In Service Autopilot vs ProTakip, the other side is Service Autopilot: US software for lawn care, landscaping, cleaning, snow removal and other route-based field services, sold in monthly tiers that each carry a sign-up fee and a fixed number of mobile licenses.
The decisive difference: on Service Autopilot every extra field user can push you into a more expensive tier, while ProTakip is one flat fee of $20 a month for unlimited users, with no sign-up fee, no contract and the first three months free. All data here is as of September 2026, from Service Autopilot's website, recent Google Play and App Store samples, and ProTakip's own product. For the wider market, see the home cleaning software overview and the carpet cleaning software page.

Service Autopilot vs ProTakip at a glance

What Service Autopilot offers
Service Autopilot is US software for lawn care, landscaping, cleaning and snow removal companies that run recurring routes. According to its website (September 2026), it bundles scheduling and dispatch, invoicing and payments, customer management, and — on higher tiers — route optimisation, job costing, automation workflows, two-way texting and QuickBooks integration. It is sold in four monthly tiers, each with a sign-up fee and a fixed number of mobile licenses.
What Service Autopilot really costs in 2026
As published on its website in September 2026, Service Autopilot has four tiers, each billed monthly plus a sign-up fee whose amount is not listed on the pricing page. Converted to cash per year on monthly billing:
- Startup: $49 a month, $588 a year, plus the sign-up fee. 1 mobile license and 1 business user license.
- Pro: $199 a month, $2,388 a year, plus the sign-up fee. Adds route optimisation and job costing. 2 mobile licenses, 1 business user.
- Pro Plus: $499 a month, $5,988 a year, plus the sign-up fee. Adds automation workflows. 5 mobile licenses, 1 business user.
- Elite: price on request. The only tier with two-way texting and QuickBooks. 8 mobile licenses, 2 business users.
Licenses are the trap. The plan you need is decided less by features than by how many people carry the app. An owner who hires a third field worker has outgrown Pro; a sixth outgrows Pro Plus and is sent to a price you cannot see without a sales call.
Worked example: an owner with four field staff. Four mobile licenses rule out Startup and Pro, so the team lands on Pro Plus — $5,988 a year plus the sign-up fee — and still does not get two-way texting, which only arrives at Elite. Contract terms were not verified; ask for them in writing.
The same team on ProTakip pays one flat fee of $20 a month ($240 a year). Unlimited users, every feature included — automatic SMS and WhatsApp, route optimisation, Caller ID on Android — with no sign-up fee, no annual contract, and the first three months free with no card. Current pricing is on our website.

What Service Autopilot users complain about
The mobile apps are where Service Autopilot reviews turn negative. In a recent sample of 130 Google Play reviews, 62 were one star; in 48 sampled App Store reviews, 24 were one star. The most common theme was crashes and bugs, followed by missing or broken features and slow loading. Reviewers describe freezes after viewing invoices and forced logins after switching apps.
It constantly locks up and has to be completely shut down and restarted to continue working. — Google Play review
Crews also report problems with time tracking and photos. Several reviewers say clock-ins did not record, so staff went back to paper timesheets, and others say taking proof-of-service photos can crash the app back to the login screen.
Spend at least 2 to 5 minutes per job on route trying to take pics for proof of service. — Google Play review
Long-term customers are among the harshest critics:
I've been using service autopilot for nearly 4 years and it has become worse every year. It is slow, sluggish — App Store review
A smaller group describe disputes about cancellation and billing after ending a subscription. The developer did not reply to any of the Google Play reviews in the sample (0%).
Why carpet cleaners choose ProTakip
22 years in carpet cleaning, not a lawn-care tool with a cleaning page. Our software has followed the carpet-cleaning workflow since the bank-POS days; today's app is the third generation. An order moves the way rugs move: received, picked up, in the wash, ready, out for delivery, delivered. Each stage has its own list, an "all operations" board shows the whole day, and every job is priced per square metre or per item from your price list.
One full app, the same on every phone. Android, iPhone and the web run from one codebase and get the same version on the same day. The owner, the driver and the washer see identical screens. There is no office system with a weaker field companion — the phone app is the whole product.
Built for the doorstep. The driver photographs each item's condition at pickup, so a damage dispute ends with a picture. QR labels show each item's place in the order ("3 / 7"), and a receipt prints for the customer on a Bluetooth thermal printer, straight from the phone.
- Caller ID on Android shows the caller's name, balance and open orders before you answer, even with no signal, because the customer list lives on the phone. Office phones are covered through a switchboard or USB caller-ID device. See Caller ID.
- Automatic WhatsApp and SMS at every stage, with a tracking link, including for international customers. Our guide to customer notifications over WhatsApp shows how that cuts "is my rug ready?" calls.
- Automatic delivery route optimisation with maps, navigation and vehicle GPS tracking.
- Unlimited users on one flat fee, no sign-up fee, no annual contract; your data is yours.
- Free migration of customers and orders, done by our team.
- Live human support in the app, with remote screen-share when needed.
As of September 2026 the Google Play listing averages 5.0 from 37 reviews and the App Store listing 4.98 from 46 ratings; every written review is five stars, and we reply to about 96% of Play reviews. Start free for three months — no card, no sign-up fee.
Head-to-head: the five differences that decide it
ProTakip comes out ahead on each of the five points below for a small carpet-cleaning business; each one ends with what it means for your crew.
Pricing grows with licenses on one side and stays flat on the other
Service Autopilot ties features and mobile licenses to its tiers — 1, 2, 5 or 8 mobile users — plus a sign-up fee on each, and the jump from $199 to $499 a month is steep. ProTakip charges one flat subscription regardless of headcount. The consequence: hiring a seasonal helper or giving a family member access costs nothing extra.
Configurable automation versus automation that works on day one
Service Autopilot's automation workflows start at Pro Plus and need someone to design and maintain them; reviewers mention a learning curve. ProTakip automates what a cleaning business repeats all day — stage-change messages, tracking links, labels, recurring jobs and reminders — with nothing to configure. When the owner is also driving the van, a tool that works out of the box saves more time.
The mobile experience in the field
This is the widest gap. Service Autopilot's apps sit at 2.7 on Google Play and 2.34 on the App Store (September 2026), with reviewers reporting freezes, slow job lists and failing photo uploads. ProTakip rates 5.0 and 4.98. If drivers cannot reliably take a photo or mark a job done, the office re-enters data by hand — with ProTakip, the phone is where the work gets recorded.
Notifications and customer calls
Service Autopilot offers two-way texting only on Elite; WhatsApp is not verified. ProTakip sends SMS and WhatsApp updates automatically at every stage on its single plan and adds Caller ID on Android, so whoever answers sees the customer's history before saying hello. More in our delivery scheduling and route planning guide.
Industry fit: built for pickup-and-return cleaning
Service Autopilot is shaped around lawn care, landscaping and snow removal, with cleaning as one of several markets. For items that leave the customer's home and come back — rugs, upholstery, garments — ProTakip's square-metre pricing, condition photos, item labels and wash-ready-delivery pipeline are the core of the product, not add-ons.
Why ProTakip is the best Service Autopilot alternative for a small carpet-cleaning business
ProTakip is carpet cleaning software and cleaning business software, and this is why it is the best Service Autopilot alternative for a small cleaning business. For a one-to-fifteen person carpet, rug, upholstery, dry-cleaning or home-cleaning business, ProTakip is the better buy. We have built for this trade for 22 years, and the product shows it: per-square-metre pricing, photos at pickup, QR labels and a printed receipt at the door, automatic SMS and WhatsApp at every stage, and Caller ID on Android that works even with no signal.
You also avoid everything that makes Service Autopilot expensive for a small crew: no license counts, no sign-up fee, no tier jumps when you hire, no contract. One full app runs on whatever phone each person owns, and when something goes wrong a person answers in the app.

A note from the founder. We built ProTakip for carpet-cleaning owners tired of paying for every new hire and fighting menus made for other trades. No sales pitch: use it free for three months with your whole team, no card needed. If it works for you, it is $20 a month. If it doesn't, you leave, and your data is yours.
Start free for three months, no card required: download ProTakip and run your next week of orders on it — the same full app on Android, iPhone and web, unlimited users, no contract.
Switching from Service Autopilot to ProTakip
Our team imports your customers and job history at no charge. Export what your Service Autopilot account allows, send the files over, and we import them and check the result with you.
Then run both for two weeks: keep Service Autopilot for billing while your drivers use ProTakip on real pickups and deliveries. Once the records check out and the team is comfortable, cancel the old subscription. The three free months cover the overlap. The full process is in our guide to switching software and migrating data.
