Maidily vs ProTakip: Why Growing Cleaning Businesses Choose a Flat Fee

Maidily's bill grows with every job you book. ProTakip, built on 22 years of carpet-cleaning software, is one flat fee with unlimited users. Costs, apps and reviews as of September 2026. ProTakip: $20 a month, unlimited users, first three months free.

ProTakip's team has built software for carpet-cleaning businesses for 22 years. We started before smartphones existed, putting order software on bank POS terminals so crews could take an order and print a receipt for the customer at the door. Today the same team ships one app that runs identically on Android, iPhone and the web, used by carpet, rug and upholstery cleaners, dry cleaners and home and office cleaning companies. That is the lens for this Maidily vs ProTakip comparison. ProTakip is carpet cleaning software and cleaning business software: order, customer and payment tracking for carpet, rug and upholstery cleaning businesses, also used by dry cleaners and home and office cleaning teams.

Maidily is a US scheduling and booking app for maid and home-cleaning services, with a free tier and paid plans priced by how many jobs you run each month, plus overages above the allowance.

The decisive difference: Maidily's bill is counted in jobs, so it grows as your business grows; ProTakip is one flat fee of $20 a month with unlimited users, no job counter, no annual contract, and the first three months free. All competitor figures below are as of September 2026, from Maidily's website, its store listings and a sample of real store reviews; where the data is silent we say "not verified". What Maidily offers

Maidily is a scheduling, booking and client-management app for US maid and home-cleaning services, with Android and iOS apps and an online version. It bundles two-way messaging, a hosted booking form, Stripe and Square payments and, on higher tiers, QuickBooks and team location tracking. It is priced in four tiers by the number of jobs you run each month, with overages above each allowance. Booking-first tools of this kind are also covered in our BookingKoala vs ProTakip and Launch27 vs ProTakip comparisons.

What Maidily really costs in 2026

Prices as published on Maidily's website in September 2026, converted to what leaves your bank account in a year on monthly billing:

Two extras sit on top. A dedicated SMS number is listed at +$10 a month, another $120 a year. And every job above your plan's allowance is charged as an overage, sold in blocks of 50 jobs at a rate that depends on your tier. Check the current overage rate before you commit, because it decides your bill in exactly the months you are busiest.

A worked example. Take an owner with four field staff. At four cleans a day, five days a week, the team runs roughly 80 jobs a month, which puts it on Grow: $588 a year, or $708 with the dedicated SMS number. Grow that team to 12 jobs a day and you are past Scale's 250-job allowance: $1,188 a year, $1,308 with the SMS number, plus overage blocks on top. Card payments through Stripe or Square also carry those providers' own fees, separate from the subscription. In other words, the better your year goes, the more the software costs.

ProTakip works the other way. That same owner and four helpers, or ten helpers, pay one flat monthly fee with unlimited users and every feature included. There is no job counter, no overage block, no setup fee and no annual contract; you can cancel any month, and the first three months cost nothing. We do not publish a figure here; see the download page or contact us for today's price.

ProTakip is $20 a month — $240 a year — for unlimited users and every feature, with no contract. Start your free three months from the ProTakip download page, no card needed.

What Maidily users complain about in reviews

There are few Maidily reviews on either store, so no single one should carry much weight. The most repeated theme in our sample is getting into the app at all. Two reviewers reported problems with sign-in or account creation on mobile:

"I have never been able to sign into the app. It gives me an error message every time" — App Store review
"…only [gave] option to log in not make a new account… no option to sign up" — Google Play review

Another App Store reviewer described pages loading for a long time and not receiving emails after signing up.

The second theme is cancelling and fit. One two-star Play reviewer realised after the onboarding video that the product was more advanced than they needed, and wrote:

"it's so hard to cancel I just used fake information so I wouldn't get charged" — Google Play review

Maidily's website states there are no contracts or cancellation fees. Two more signals: the developer replied to about 18% of the Play reviews in our sample, and the latest updates in our data are July 2025 on Android and September 2025 on iOS.

Why carpet cleaners choose ProTakip

22 years, carpet first. ProTakip is not a general scheduling tool with a carpet-cleaning landing page. Our team has written software for carpet-cleaning businesses for 22 years, starting on bank POS terminals so crews could print a receipt at the customer's door. Every screen follows the way a carpet and rug cleaning business actually works: received, in wash, ready, out for delivery, delivered, each stage with its own list, so the driver sees today's pickups and the office sees what is ready to go out. Price per square metre or per item, and use the same appointments calendar and recurring jobs for scheduled home cleaning visits.

One full app on every phone. Android, iPhone and the web are built from one codebase and get the same version on the same day. There is no "lite" mobile app, so the helper on an old Android and the owner on an iPhone see the same thing.

Proof at the door. Photograph each rug at pickup and damage disputes end before they start. Print QR labels showing each item's place in the order ("3 / 7") and a receipt for the customer on a Bluetooth thermal printer, straight from the phone.

Know who is calling on Android. ProTakip's Caller ID on Android shows the caller's name, address, notes, balance and open orders before you answer, even with the app closed and no signal. In the office, a switchboard integration or USB caller-ID device brings the same card to the computer.

Customers informed without lifting a finger. ProTakip sends automatic SMS and WhatsApp notifications at every order stage, including for international customers, plus a tracking link where they can check status. A WhatsApp Business inbox, bulk SMS and satisfaction surveys are in the same app.

Routes that plan themselves. Delivery routes are optimised automatically and opened in map navigation, and vehicle GPS tracking shows where your vans are.

Head-to-head: the five differences that decide it

ProTakip comes out ahead on each of the five points below for a small carpet-cleaning business; each one ends with what it means for your crew.

Pricing model: a job counter against one flat fee

Both products include unlimited users and neither ties you to a contract, so the real difference is what the price is counted on. Maidily counts jobs: 10 free, then 50, 150 or 250 a month depending on tier, with overages above that. ProTakip charges one flat monthly fee regardless of how many orders you run. A good month never produces a bigger software bill, and nobody has to watch a job counter before booking the next customer.

Mobile experience and update cadence

Maidily reviewers report sign-in and account-creation errors on mobile, and the most recent app updates in our data are from July and September 2025. ProTakip ships the same version to Android, iPhone and web together, and holds 5.0 and 4.98 in the stores. For a crew that works from phones all day, that is the app your least technical helper can open and use without calling you.

Industry fit: home visits against pickup and delivery

Maidily is shaped around cleaners visiting a client's home on a schedule. ProTakip handles those appointments and recurring jobs too, and adds the pipeline that carpet, upholstery and dry-cleaning work needs when the item leaves the house: collected, labelled, photographed, washed, marked ready and delivered back. If any share of your revenue is rugs or upholstery, that pipeline saves time every single day.

Notifications and customer contact

Maidily offers two-way messaging on paid plans, with a dedicated SMS number listed at $10 a month extra; WhatsApp support was not verified. ProTakip sends automatic SMS and WhatsApp messages at every stage, has a WhatsApp inbox in the app, and shows you who is calling on Android before you answer. In markets where customers live on WhatsApp, such as much of Europe and Australia, that channel gets faster replies than SMS alone.

Money on the day of delivery

Maidily relies on outside services for money, listing Stripe, Square and QuickBooks. ProTakip keeps the money in the same app as the work: a cash register, income and expense tracking, and each customer's running balance, with daily, weekly and monthly reports and staff performance reports. For a business that collects cash or bank transfer at delivery, the owner sees who paid, who owes and what the day earned without opening a second system.

Why ProTakip is the best Maidily alternative for a small carpet-cleaning business

ProTakip is carpet cleaning software and cleaning business software for one-to-fifteen-person teams; this is why it is the best Maidily alternative for that business.

A small carpet or upholstery business needs software to solve three problems: knowing where every item is, keeping customers informed without phone calls, and keeping costs predictable as the business grows. ProTakip solves all three in one subscription. The order pipeline, QR labels, photos at pickup and Bluetooth receipts track every rug from the customer's door and back. Automatic SMS and WhatsApp messages, the tracking link and Caller ID on Android keep customers informed and make every call personal. And one flat fee with unlimited users means hiring a fifth helper or doubling your jobs never changes the bill.

We also make switching painless: we move your data for you, a human answers support, and the app is available in 26 languages, which matters if you work outside the US or your team speaks more than one language. For more home-cleaning comparisons, see ZenMaid vs ProTakip and FieldVibe vs ProTakip.

A note from the founder. We built ProTakip for carpet-cleaning owners tired of paying for every new hire and fighting menus made for other trades. No sales pitch: use it free for three months with your whole team, no card needed. If it works for you, it is $20 a month. If it doesn't, you leave, and your data is yours.

Start free for three months, no card required: download ProTakip and run your next week of orders on it — the same full app on Android, iPhone and web, unlimited users, no contract.

Frequently asked questions

How much does Maidily cost compared with ProTakip?

According to Maidily's website in September 2026, plans are Free ($0, up to 10 jobs a month), Start ($29/month, 50 jobs), Grow ($49/month, 150 jobs) and Scale ($99/month, 250 jobs), with extra jobs billed as overages and a dedicated SMS number at +$10 a month. On monthly billing that is $348, $588 or $1,188 a year before overages. ProTakip is one flat subscription of $20 a month ($240 a year) with unlimited users and every feature included, no job counter, no contract, and the first three months free.

Is Maidily or ProTakip better for a carpet or rug cleaning business?

ProTakip. First, it was built for that trade over 22 years: rugs are picked up, photographed, given QR labels, washed, marked ready and delivered, with a Bluetooth receipt printed at the door and SMS or WhatsApp updates at each step. Second, the price does not grow with your volume: one flat fee with unlimited users, where Maidily counts every job against a monthly allowance. Maidily is designed around recurring home-cleaning visits, and we could not verify a pickup-and-delivery pipeline or item labels in it.

Does Maidily have a free plan?

Yes. Maidily's website (September 2026) lists a Free plan at $0 per month with up to 10 jobs a month and unlimited users, with no credit card required. Ten jobs is about two a week, so a working business moves to a paid tier quickly, and from there the bill rises with the job count. ProTakip's first three months are free with every feature and no job limit, and after that you pay one flat fee however busy you get.

Can I move my customer data from Maidily to ProTakip?

Yes. Export your customer list and job history from Maidily as a spreadsheet and send it to the ProTakip team. We do the migration for you at no charge. Because the first three months are free, you can run both systems side by side on real jobs and cancel Maidily once your team is comfortable.

Does ProTakip integrate with QuickBooks or take card payments like Maidily?

ProTakip has no QuickBooks, Xero or other accounting integration, and it does not process card payments from your customers; Maidily's website lists Stripe and Square on all plans and QuickBooks on Grow and Scale. ProTakip instead tracks cash, bank transfers, income, expenses and each customer's balance inside the app, with daily, weekly and monthly reports, so a business that collects at delivery sees exactly who still owes what. If you need a QuickBooks, Xero, Square, Stripe or other sync, tell us in the in-app chat: we build the connection for your account, and the first three months are free while we do.

Maidily is a trademark of its respective owner. ProTakip is not affiliated with or endorsed by Maidily. Competitor pricing and ratings are as published on the vendor's website or app stores on 27 September 2026 and may change.
