ProTakip's team has built software for carpet-cleaning businesses for 22 years. Before smartphones existed, we put our software on bank POS terminals so crews could take an order and print a receipt for the customer at the door. Today the same team ships one app for Android, iPhone and the web. That is the lens for this Joblogic vs ProTakip comparison: which tool actually runs a carpet, rug or upholstery cleaning business better, and what each one costs you in cash. ProTakip is carpet cleaning software and cleaning business software: order, customer and payment tracking for carpet, rug and upholstery cleaning businesses, also used by dry cleaners and home and office cleaning teams.
Joblogic is a UK field-service platform for commercial maintenance contractors who run planned preventive maintenance, asset registers and compliance certificates across client sites; it is priced per user, billed annually, and Joblogic says most customers choose 24- or 36-month terms.
The decisive difference is simple: Joblogic charges for every login on a multi-year commitment, while ProTakip is one flat fee of $20 a month with unlimited users, no contract and the first three months free.
Prices, ratings and review data are as of September 2026, from Joblogic's pricing page and the app stores. Still building a shortlist? Our guide on how to choose carpet cleaning software covers the questions to ask any vendor.

What Joblogic offers
Joblogic is a UK field-service platform for commercial maintenance contractors. According to Joblogic's website (September 2026), Standard bundles customer and site management, asset management, job costing, quotes and invoices, a mobile engineer app, a job planner, electronic forms, recurring jobs and a Stripe integration; Premium adds PPM contracts, purchase orders, route scheduling, engineer tracking, timesheets and audits, and Enterprise adds compliance, a customer portal and stock management. It is priced per user, billed annually, with Premium and Enterprise quoted on request.
What Joblogic really costs in 2026
Joblogic publishes one price and quotes the rest. As listed on its pricing page in September 2026:
- Standard: £45 per user per month, billed annually (about US$59 on Joblogic's US price list). That is £540 a year for every login. Joblogic's own example is five users for £225 a month, which is £2,700 a year. A free trial is available with no card needed.
- Premium: price not published. You cannot see it until you speak to sales; Joblogic says it is tailored to team size and modules, and we have not seen an independent figure for it. This is the tier with PPM contracts, route scheduling and engineer tracking.
- Enterprise: custom pricing, also not published, with compliance, customer portal and stock management.
The real cost of Joblogic pricing comes from two things: each helper you add is another £45 a month, £540 a year, and Joblogic states that most customers choose 24- or 36-month terms (12 months can be arranged). There are no setup fees for smaller customers, though larger projects may incur onboarding costs. Card processing runs through Stripe, so its fees apply separately.
Worked example: an owner with four field staff. Five logins on Standard cost £225 a month, or £2,700 a year. On the 24-month term Joblogic says most customers choose, that is a £5,400 commitment; on 36 months it is £8,100. That is before any Premium feature such as route scheduling, and a sixth hire for the busy season raises it again.
On ProTakip, that same five-person team, or a ten-person team, pays one flat fee of $20 a month ($240 a year). Unlimited users, every feature included, no annual contract, no setup fee, cancel any month, and the first three months cost nothing. Joblogic users mostly complain about updates, sign-ins and contracts
We read a sample of 162 recent Google Play reviews for Joblogic (September 2026). 88 were one-star, 18 two-star, 15 three-star, 17 four-star and 24 five-star. The most common themes were bugs and crashes (14 mentions), missing or awkward features (11), slowness (5) and sync or offline problems (4).
Several reviewers say updates change things they relied on:
"Used to be a great app, have used for years! Unfortunately the developers cannot help themselves and app is CONSTANTLY being changed." — Google Play review, 2026
Others report sign-in and sync issues, including a daily "session expired" message followed by two-factor verification, and jobs not appearing on a new phone:
"Doesn't sync across devices. New phone, ongoing jobs don't appear! UI is fiddly to use." — Google Play review, 2026
Contract terms come up too. One small-firm reviewer wrote about being held to the agreement:
"Company lock you in via contractual terms and sneaky renewals rather than actually producing a useful app that you want to stay with." — Google Play review, 2026
Other reviewers mention battery drain, a recurring certificate-population issue and very long fixed job numbers. These are individual experiences, not verified defects, but they are the patterns in Joblogic reviews worth raising before signing a multi-year term.
Why carpet cleaners choose ProTakip
ProTakip is not a general job-management tool with a carpet page added for marketing. Our team has built software for carpet-cleaning businesses for 22 years: first on bank POS terminals so crews could print a receipt at the customer's door, now as the third generation of that work, used by carpet, rug and upholstery cleaners in Türkiye and internationally. Every screen follows the cycle a cleaning business really runs: order received, picked up, in the wash, ready, out for delivery, delivered and paid.
It is one app on Android, iPhone and the web, built from a single codebase, so every platform gets the same version on the same day. There is no cut-down "engineer app" and separate "office system": the owner, the driver and the person at the counter use the same app with role-based permissions. What it does for a carpet or upholstery cleaner:
- Price the way you work. Per square metre or per item, with price lists, extra services, quotes, recurring jobs and an appointments calendar.
- Photos at pickup that end damage disputes. Record each rug's condition before it leaves the customer's home, so "that stain wasn't there" is settled by a photo, not an argument.
- QR labels and Bluetooth receipts at the door. Print a QR label for every item showing its place in the order ("3 / 7") and hand the customer a receipt from a Bluetooth thermal printer, straight from the phone.
- Know who is calling on Android before you answer. On Android, Caller ID shows the caller's name, address, notes, balance and open orders before the phone rings, with the app closed and even with no signal; in the office it comes through a cloud switchboard or a USB caller-ID device.
- Customers kept informed automatically. SMS and WhatsApp messages go out at every order stage, including for international customers, with a tracking link; our guide to customer notifications over WhatsApp shows how cleaners use this to cut "is my rug ready?" calls. A WhatsApp Business inbox, bulk SMS and surveys are included.
- Deliveries in the right order. Automatic delivery route optimisation with map and navigation, plus vehicle and courier GPS tracking.
- The money side in the same app. Cash register, income and expense tracking, customer receivables, and daily to monthly reports including staff performance.
Everyone on the team gets a login on one flat monthly fee, with no annual contract, and your data stays yours. We move your data for you at no charge, and when you need help a real person answers in the in-app chat, with remote screen-share when it is quicker to show than to explain.
Carpet cleaners rate it accordingly. As of 27 September 2026, ProTakip holds 5.0 on Google Play from 37 reviews and 4.98 on the App Store from 46 ratings, and every written review is five stars. Start free for three months, no card required.
Head-to-head: the five differences that decide it
ProTakip comes out ahead on each of the five points below for a small carpet-cleaning business; each one ends with what it means for your crew.
Per-user annual billing versus one flat monthly price
Joblogic Standard is £45 per user per month, billed annually: a five-person team pays £225 a month, and each seasonal hire or new driver adds another seat. ProTakip charges one flat monthly subscription with unlimited users and every feature included, route optimisation among them. Give a login to the part-time driver, the spouse doing the books and the new washer; the cost stays the same from four people to eight.
Multi-year terms versus month to month
Joblogic says most customers choose 24- or 36-month terms, with 12 months possible on request, and at least one reviewer describes feeling locked in by renewals. ProTakip has no annual contract and no setup fee, and the first three months are free with no card required. If the software does not suit your team, you stop paying instead of waiting out a term.
An engineer app versus one app for everyone
Joblogic splits the work into office software and a mobile engineer app, and reviewers' sign-out and sync complaints mostly come from the mobile side. ProTakip is phone-first: the same full app on Android, iPhone and web, updated on the same day. For an owner who takes orders, drives the van and checks reports on one phone, the office and the field see the same thing.
Customer communication built in, not an open question
Joblogic's website lists automated SMS and email customer alerts (engineer on the way, job complete); WhatsApp notifications and Caller ID do not appear on its product pages. In ProTakip, stage-by-stage SMS and WhatsApp messages, a customer tracking link and Caller ID on Android that works without signal are part of the standard product. When your customer is a household waiting for a rug, that communication is most of the service, and fewer status calls mean more time on paid work.
Built for pickups and deliveries, not sites and assets
Joblogic's data model is sites, assets, contracts and compliance. A carpet cleaner's world is items, square metres, wash stages, labels and delivery routes. Bending a maintenance platform to track rugs means paying for structure you never use. ProTakip's pipeline, per-square-metre pricing, QR labels, Bluetooth receipts and delivery lists match a cleaning business on the first day, with 22 years of carpet-cleaning software behind them.
Why ProTakip is the best Joblogic alternative for a small carpet-cleaning business
ProTakip is carpet cleaning software and cleaning business software for one-to-fifteen-person teams; this is why it is the best Joblogic alternative for that business.
If you clean carpets, rugs or upholstery, or run a small dry-cleaning or home-cleaning business with one to fifteen people, ProTakip is the stronger Joblogic alternative, and it is not close. We have spent 22 years on exactly your workflow, not on maintenance contracts and asset registers you will never fill in.
Your daily questions are "whose rug is this?", "who is calling on Android?", "what is ready for delivery today?" and "has the customer been told?". ProTakip answers each of them directly: the QR label on the rug, the Caller ID card on your Android phone, the ready list and the automatic WhatsApp or SMS message that has already gone out. The app also orders tomorrow's deliveries for you.
And the numbers work in your favour: the owner-with-four-staff team paying £2,700 a year for Standard logins on a multi-year term pays one flat monthly fee on ProTakip, adds the next hire at no extra cost, can leave any month and pays nothing for the first three months.
A note from the founder. We built ProTakip for carpet-cleaning owners tired of paying for every new hire and fighting menus made for other trades. No sales pitch: use it free for three months with your whole team, no card needed. If it works for you, it is $20 a month. If it doesn't, you leave, and your data is yours.
Start free for three months, no card required: download ProTakip and run your next week of orders on it — the same full app on Android, iPhone and web, unlimited users, no contract.

You do not have to move anything yourself. Export what you can from Joblogic, send it to us, and our team imports your customers and order history at no charge. Run both for a couple of weeks; with three months free, the overlap costs nothing. When everyone is working in ProTakip, give notice on Joblogic as your term allows. Frequently asked questions
How much does Joblogic cost compared with ProTakip?
As published in September 2026, Joblogic Standard costs £45 per user per month, billed annually: £540 a year for every login, so five users pay £225 a month, or £2,700 a year. Premium and Enterprise are priced on request, and Joblogic says most customers choose 24- or 36-month terms. ProTakip is one flat subscription of $20 a month ($240 a year) with unlimited users, every feature included, no annual contract and the first three months free, so your cost does not rise each time you add a helper.
Is Joblogic or ProTakip better for a carpet or rug cleaning business?
ProTakip. First, it is built around the carpet cleaner's actual cycle (pickup, wash, ready, delivery) with per-square-metre pricing, photos at pickup, QR labels, Bluetooth receipts at the door and automatic SMS and WhatsApp updates at every stage; Joblogic's model of sites, assets and planned maintenance is designed for commercial maintenance contractors. Second, one flat fee with unlimited users and no contract replaces per-user annual billing on a multi-year term, so a small team pays less and keeps the freedom to leave.
Does ProTakip have planned preventive maintenance and asset registers like Joblogic?
ProTakip has recurring jobs and an appointments calendar, but no PPM contract module, asset register or compliance-certificate workflow; those are built for commercial maintenance contractors, not cleaning businesses. What a carpet or upholstery cleaner gets instead is the full order pipeline, square-metre pricing, QR labels, Caller ID on Android and automatic customer messages, all in one app on Android, iPhone and the web. If your business needs it, tell us in the in-app chat: ProTakip is built around what its customers ask for, and the first three months are free while you find out.
Can I move my data from Joblogic to ProTakip?
Yes, and you do not have to do it yourself. Export what you can from Joblogic, send it to us, and the ProTakip team imports your customer lists and order history at no charge. Because the first three months are free, you can run both systems side by side for a couple of weeks, switch fully once your team is comfortable, and give notice on Joblogic when your term allows.
What do Joblogic reviews on Google Play say?
In a sample of 162 recent Google Play reviews collected in September 2026, 88 were one-star. Reviewers most often mention bugs and crashes after updates, missing features, slowness, sync problems and repeated sign-outs. The developer replied to about 76% of sampled reviews, and the App Store listing shows 5.0 from only four ratings. For comparison, ProTakip holds 5.0 on Google Play from 37 reviews and 4.98 on the App Store from 46 ratings (September 2026).
