ProTakip's team has built software for carpet-cleaning businesses for 22 years. Before smartphones existed, we put carpet-cleaning software on bank POS terminals so crews could take an order and print a receipt at the customer's door. Today the same team ships one app for Android, iPhone and the web, used by carpet, rug, upholstery and dry-cleaning businesses in Türkiye and internationally. That is the lens for this Turns vs ProTakip comparison. ProTakip is carpet cleaning software and cleaning business software: order, customer and payment tracking for carpet, rug and upholstery cleaning businesses, also used by dry cleaners and home and office cleaning teams.
Turns, part of PayRange, is laundromat and dry-cleaning software sold as separate monthly modules, with a 4% fee on online transactions.
The decisive difference: with Turns, every capability is a line item and your bill rises with your online sales; with ProTakip, one flat fee of $20 a month covers every feature and every user, there is no percentage of your sales, no annual contract, and the first three months are free. All data below is as of September 2026; app store figures were checked on 27 September 2026. For the wider picture, see the carpet cleaning software page.

Turns vs ProTakip at a glance
For a small carpet-cleaning team, ProTakip is the better buy: one flat fee of $20 a month for unlimited users, the same full app on Android, iPhone and web, and a pickup-to-delivery workflow built for rugs. The table shows where Turns differs, with every figure dated September 2026.

What Turns offers
Turns is laundromat and dry-cleaning POS software from PayRange, the laundry-machine payment company. It is sold as four monthly modules — POS, customer apps, website builder and fleet — plus a 4% fee on online transactions. Its staff app is on Google Play; we found no App Store listing on 27 September 2026.
What Turns really costs in 2026
Turns costs $300 a month — $3,600 a year — for all four modules, plus 4% of online sales, as published and reported in September 2026. Here is what leaves your bank account each year:
- POS: $100 a month — $1,200 a year.
- Customer apps: $100 a month — another $1,200 a year.
- Website builder: $50 a month — $600 a year.
- Fleet management: $50 a month — $600 a year.
- Online transactions: 4% of every payment taken online, on top of the modules.
Take all four modules and the fixed part alone is $300 a month, or $3,600 a year. No annual-prepaid price is published, so plan on paying month by month. There is no free plan, only a 14-day trial. Contract length, per-user charges and SMS costs were not verified; ask about all three before you sign, because each can add to the total.
Then the 4% starts. Worked example: an owner with four field staff runs pickup and delivery and takes $5,000 a month in online orders. The four modules cost $3,600 a year; 4% of $60,000 in online sales is another $2,400. That team pays Turns about $6,000 a year before any per-user or SMS costs we could not verify. If online sales double to $10,000 a month, the fee doubles to $4,800 a year and the total reaches $8,400. Your software bill grows exactly when your delivery business grows. Also ask whether card processing is inside that 4% or charged on top.
On ProTakip, the same owner and four staff — or fifteen — pay one flat monthly fee. Every feature is included, routes and GPS too, nobody takes a percentage of your sales, you can cancel any month, and the first three months cost nothing. For how other laundry tools price the same work, see CleanCloud vs ProTakip and Cents vs ProTakip.
ProTakip is $20 a month — $240 a year — for unlimited users and every feature, with no contract. Start your free three months from the ProTakip download page, no card needed.

What Turns users complain about: the public record is almost empty
Turns has no public reviews to quote: as of 27 September 2026 the Turns staff app on Google Play (developer Turnsapp Inc, last updated 25 August 2026) showed 100+ installs and no average rating, because too few people have rated it. Our review sample for Turns contained zero written reviews, and we did not find an App Store listing to check.
It means you cannot lean on other owners' experience, and you have no public signal on support speed, bugs or billing. ProTakip removes that gamble: install it on the phones your staff actually carry and run your next week of real orders on the free three months. Our dry cleaning management software guide lists the questions to ask. By contrast, every one of the 42 written reviews of ProTakip across both stores is five stars.
Why carpet cleaners choose ProTakip
22 years in carpet cleaning, not a laundry till with a rug page. ProTakip started as software for carpet-cleaning crews on bank POS terminals, printing receipts at the door before smartphones existed. Today's app is the third generation of that work. The workflow follows the rug, not the counter: received → in wash → ready → out for delivery → delivered → paid, with pickup and delivery lists and an "all operations" board. Items are priced per square metre or per piece from your price list, and quotes, recurring jobs and an appointments calendar are built in.
The same full app on Android, iPhone and the web. One codebase, released the same day on every platform, in 26 languages. The owner on an iPhone, the driver on an Android and the office on a laptop see the same orders and the same features. Nobody needs a counter computer to do their job.
Photos, QR labels and receipts at the door. Staff photograph each item at pickup, which ends "that stain was not there before" arguments. Each item gets a QR label showing its place in the order ("3 / 7"), printed from the phone on a Bluetooth thermal printer, and the customer gets a printed receipt on the spot.
Know who is calling on Android before you answer. On Android, Caller ID shows the caller's name, address, notes, balance and open orders before the phone rings — even with the app closed and no signal. The office gets the same pop-up through a USB caller-ID device or a cloud switchboard.
Customers informed automatically. ProTakip sends SMS and WhatsApp messages at every stage, for international businesses too, with a tracking link so customers check status instead of calling. There is a WhatsApp Business inbox inside the app, bulk SMS and satisfaction surveys; see customer notifications by WhatsApp and SMS.
Delivery days planned for you. Automatic route optimisation, map view, navigation handed to Google Maps or Yandex, and vehicle GPS tracking — included, not a $50 module. Money is tracked through a cash register, income and expenses, customer receivables and daily to monthly reports.
- Unlimited users on one flat fee, no annual contract, no percentage of sales — and your data is yours.
- Free migration: our team imports your customers and orders.
- Live human support in the app, backed by an AI assistant and remote screen-share.
- Rated 5.0 on Google Play (37 reviews) and 4.98 on the App Store (46 ratings), September 2026.

Head-to-head: the five differences that decide it
ProTakip comes out ahead on each of the five points below for a small carpet-cleaning business; each one ends with what it means for your crew.
Turns bills per module plus 4%; ProTakip bills one flat fee
A full Turns setup is $300 a month before transactions, and 4% of online revenue on top. ProTakip charges one flat subscription however many staff you add or however much you sell. The consequence: with ProTakip a busy month does not raise your software bill.
Turns handles machines and payments; ProTakip records them
Turns belongs to PayRange and processes online payments with its 4% fee. ProTakip does not connect to washers or process card payments; you record payments in the cash register and receivables and collect through the terminal or bank method you already use — with no cut taken. If you collect on delivery or by transfer, as pickup-and-delivery cleaners do, ProTakip costs you less and takes no cut. Our payment collection guide covers the options.
ProTakip gives field staff the full app on any phone
Turns publishes an Android staff app, and we found no App Store listing. ProTakip gives owner, office and drivers the same full app on Android, iPhone and web, the same day — nobody in the crew is on a lesser version. A mixed Android and iPhone crew works from the same screens, with photos and label printing on the phone.
Turns sells an ordering app; ProTakip keeps customers informed without one
Turns charges $100 a month for customer apps. ProTakip keeps the customer informed with automatic SMS, WhatsApp and a tracking link, and gives the person answering the phone Caller ID on Android. When most orders arrive by phone or WhatsApp, as they do for most rug cleaners, ProTakip asks nothing of the customer.
Turns fits the laundry counter; ProTakip fits rug and upholstery work
Rugs are priced by size, photographed at pickup, labelled one by one and returned days later on a planned route. ProTakip was built for exactly that and is also used by dry cleaners; see dry cleaning software. Turns is designed around the laundromat.
Why ProTakip is the best Turns alternative for a small carpet-cleaning business
ProTakip is carpet cleaning software and cleaning business software for one-to-fifteen-person teams; this is why it is the best Turns alternative for that business.
If you are a 1–15 person carpet & rug, upholstery or pickup-and-delivery dry-cleaning business, we built ProTakip for you. You take orders by phone and WhatsApp, and Caller ID on Android tells you who is calling, what they owe and what is open before you answer. Your crew photographs and QR-labels every item at the door and hands over a printed receipt. Customers get SMS and WhatsApp updates at every stage without you typing a word, and your drivers follow an optimised delivery route.
You pay one flat fee for the whole team, with no module list to add up, no 4% on your sales and no annual contract. If you add a helper in spring, the bill does not move. If you want to leave, you leave any month and take your data with you. And when something goes wrong, a real person answers inside the app. Still comparing? See all comparisons.
A note from the founder. We built ProTakip for carpet-cleaning owners tired of paying for every new hire and fighting menus made for other trades. No sales pitch: use it free for three months with your whole team, no card needed. If it works for you, it is $20 a month. If it doesn't, you leave, and your data is yours.
Start free for three months, no card required: download ProTakip and run your next week of orders on it — the same full app on Android, iPhone and web, unlimited users, no contract.
Switching from Turns to ProTakip takes days, not weeks
You do not rebuild your customer list by hand. Export your customers and open orders from Turns, and our team imports them for you, free of charge, with their history. Because the first three months are free with no credit card, run both systems side by side for two weeks: check that balances and addresses came across, train your drivers on the phone app, then cancel your Turns modules. Our switching and data migration guide walks through what to export.
Frequently asked questions
How much does Turns cost compared with ProTakip?
As published in September 2026, Turns sells modules: POS $100 a month, customer apps $100, website builder $50 and fleet management $50, which is $3,600 a year for all four, plus a 4% fee on online transactions. ProTakip is one flat subscription of $20 a month ($240 a year) with unlimited users and every feature included, no annual contract and no percentage of your sales, and the first three months are free.
Is Turns or ProTakip better for carpet and rug cleaning?
ProTakip, especially for small teams. First, it has been built for carpet cleaning for 22 years: square-metre pricing, photos at pickup and QR item labels printed at the door from the phone. Second, one flat fee covers every user and feature with no 4% on your sales, so a growing delivery business does not grow your software bill. Turns is built around laundromats and dry-cleaning counters.
Is ProTakip a laundromat system like PayRange?
ProTakip does not connect to washers, dryers or app-payment systems in a self-service laundromat, and it does not process card payments from your customers. ProTakip is not built for self-service laundromats; this comparison is written for pickup-and-delivery cleaners. ProTakip runs orders, customers, deliveries and cash for a pickup-and-delivery cleaning business, and takes no cut of your sales.
Can I move my customer data from Turns to ProTakip?
Yes. Export your customer list and, if possible, your open orders, and the ProTakip team imports them for you at no charge. The first three months are free with no credit card, so you can run both systems side by side for two weeks, check that the imported data is right and cancel the Turns modules when you are confident.
What do Turns reviews say?
Very little is public. As of 27 September 2026 the Turns staff app on Google Play had 100+ installs and too few ratings to show an average, and we found no written reviews to quote. ProTakip is rated 5.0 on Google Play and 4.98 on the App Store, and every written review is five stars.
Turns is a trademark of its respective owner. ProTakip is not affiliated with or endorsed by Turns. Competitor pricing and ratings are as published on the vendor's website or app stores on 27 September 2026 and may change.
